Does anyone else think these camera angles that the networks are using during the telecast suck?
ie the overview angle or the angle where they show the play from behind the quarterback. I guess they are attempting to give the viewer a
different perspective of the game but I don't think you get a very good view of the play. Just my opinion.

Yes, I agree, they suck, especially the one from behind when field goals are being attempted, it makes the extra points look like a mile away, very dumb!

we have gotten more options over the past few years. which is good. it is a matter of which one they go to. they may have too many options.

i like the one that is on the wire over the field. that one gives great perspective

I don't have HDTV and I don't have a problem with the different angles. I get to see things that I normally wouldn't.

when something is done a certain way for 50+
years and a new way is introduced sure there
will be opposition to the change. the wire cam
shows a play developing in ways the traditional
sideline cameras are not able to, however it
does have a drawback in that it is not as
''strong'' and once the runner/ball is past the
line of scrimmage it doesn't look as ''clean''
an image. eventually they will be just as
effective at the same size, technology always
catches up.

I have followed stuff like this a long time. Fox sucks. They do the majoirity of the poor camera angles. I can remember when Fox was a nothing network. I really wish they still were

The worst shot in NFL coverage is the MNF shot during field goals with the advertisement between the posts. It completely screws it up. The 2nd worst shot is watching the kickoff, the entire kickoff, from behind the kicker. That bites... Oh, by the way...Bigfan1- You remember back when Fox was a nothing network? How long ago was that? 10 years? I'm pretty sure that almost anyone posting on this forum remembers football before Fox. Just a little smack for you, however, you need to know that everything on Fox Does still suck, with the exception of the NFL. The Simpsons are soooooo 1989.
